As a visual artist and art facilitator for The Cultural Schoolbag, I have had the opportunity to travel and experience the many nuances of Norway. Portraits of places invite us to travel, both physically and mentally. They encourage us to see, discover and understand – not only the places we visit, but also the stories that weave together in human lives. In art, literature, photography or film, we find new perspectives that open our eyes to the beauty and complexity of the world. And in an everyday life where we are often preoccupied with what is close, these portraits remind us of how valuable it is to appreciate the diversity of places and cultures that surround us. Every journey is an opportunity to learn, grow and share stories – both mine and those of others.
